Have you visited a coastal destination that stayed with you? Share your experience with Coastal du Monde and help other travellers discover the people, culture, heritage and natural beauty of the coast.

Before you begin

We welcome honest, respectful first-person stories from visits to coastlines, beaches, lagoons, islands, waterfronts and coastal communities. Approved submissions may be edited for clarity, length and presentation before publication.

What we can publish

  • The story must describe a genuine visit to a coastal destination.
  • The recommended story length is 500 to 1,500 words.
  • The main image should be landscape and suitable for a story card.
  • Submitted photographs and video must be original or properly authorised.
  • Stock photographs and media copied from other websites must not be accepted.
  • The contributor must have consent to publish identifiable adults and appropriate consent for children.
  • Submissions must not exploit, ridicule or misrepresent communities and vulnerable people.

Eligibility check

We confirm that the destination is coastal and the story is relevant.

Editorial review

We check clarity, respect, accuracy and originality.

Rights review

We confirm ownership and publication permissions for your text and media.

Your approval

If we make material edits, we send the edited version back for your confirmation.

Publication

We assign the destination, category, main image, related content and publication date.
