Travel With Respect and Leave a Positive Footprint

Coastal du Monde believes tourism should protect heritage, respect local people and create genuine value for host communities. These principles guide how we design our experiences, work with local partners and introduce visitors to coastal destinations.

Respect for People and Communities

We treat residents as hosts and partners, not as attractions. Visitors must respect local customs, personal boundaries and community rules.

Permission Before Photography

Photographs or videos of individuals, children, homes, ceremonies and sensitive locations must only be taken with appropriate permission.

Accurate and Responsible Storytelling

We present history and culture with care. We do not sensationalise poverty, trauma, slavery, migration or community challenges for entertainment.

Protection of Children and Vulnerable People

We maintain zero tolerance for exploitation, harassment, abuse or inappropriate contact with children and vulnerable persons.

Respect for Sacred and Historic Places

Visitors must follow the directions of guides and custodians when entering shrines, monuments, places of worship, royal sites and culturally sensitive spaces.

Environmental Responsibility

We discourage littering, damage to natural environments and the removal of objects from beaches, heritage locations or communities.

Support for Local Livelihoods

Where possible, our tours engage local guides, transport providers, food vendors, artisans, performers and community businesses.

Fair and Dignified Engagement

Gifts, donations and purchases must be handled respectfully. Visitors should not make promises or distribute money and items in ways that may create conflict or undermine community dignity.

Safety and Professional Conduct

Visitors are expected to follow safety instructions, remain with the group where required and behave responsibly throughout the experience.

Responsible Cultural Exchange

We encourage visitors to listen, ask respectful questions and approach every community with humility and an open mind.
